Alexandra Puntin Pilsbury Obituary (1995

SALISBURY- Alexandra Puntin Pilsbury, 26, of Salisbury, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family after a brave battle with cancer. Born in Pittsfield, MA, she was the daughter of Anthony and Beverly (Nace) Puntin of Penacook. She was raised and educated in Penacook and was a Merrimack Valley High School graduate. She later graduated from Western Carolina University with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Alex worked as a registered nurse for Concord Hospital. She always found great satisfaction in helping others in any way she could. Working on the medical oncology floor, she was dedicated to supporting her patients and providing the care they needed during their most difficult times. Alex had started working as a Resource Person, demonstrating her ambition and love of nursing and her patients. She was an avid hiker and found peace and solace in the mountains and the greater outdoors. Her love of hiking and adventurous spirit started at a young age; Alex and her father began hiking New Hampshire's 48 4000'ers at the age of 10, and they finished before she left for college. She played field hockey and lacrosse during her high school years and made the All-State Field Hockey team. She continued to play field hockey in an indoor adult league. Alex enjoyed music, dancing, and going out with friends. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by her family, friends, and dog, Cali. She also had a healthy obsession with "The Office." In addition to her parents, Alex is survived by her devoted husband and high school sweetheart, Daniel F. Pilsbury; her sister, Haley Puntin and partner, Jack DiGeronimo of Pittsfield, MA; her father-in-law David Pilsbury of Salisbury; her grandparents, Lauria Puntin, Philip Nace and his wife Elizabeth, and Jean Johnston; as well as several aunts, uncles, numerous cousins, and countless friends. She will be welcomed in heaven by her mother-in-law, Theresa Pilsbury, and her nonno, Donald Puntin. Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, December 30th, from 4 to 7 P.M. in the Still Oaks Funeral & Memorial Home 1217 Suncook Valley Highway in Epsom. A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Friday, December 31st at 11 A.M. in the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Alex's memory may be sent to Granite VNA at granitevna.org/donate.
