Almond E. Larose Obituary (1934

Almond "Sonny" E. LaRose, 81, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen, following a difficult battle with Parkinson's disease. He was born on March 14, 1934 in North Troy, VT, a son of the late Leopold LaRose & Pearl (Lahue-LaRose) Greenham of Mansonville, Canada. Sonny spent many years working in the construction industry. He worked for Frank Hayden Construction Co. and retired from Floyd Construction Co. Sonny was an avid domino player and also enjoyed gardening, traveling, walking, yard sales and spending time with his family. He was a very kind, openhearted and gentle man. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Geraldine (Watson) LaRose of Pembroke; three daughters, Gail (LaRose) Davis and her husband Roger of Candia, Pamela (LaRose) Gagnon and her husband Paul of Pembroke, Becky (LaRose) Cournoyer and her husband Phil of Pembroke; two sisters, Elizabeth St.Onge of Mansonville, Canada and Alice Pion of Allenstown; 12 grandchildren; Duane, Dawn, Douglas, Miranda, John, Janelle, Jamie, Melissa, Shaun, Brian, Matthew, Mariah and 11 great-grandchildren, Ashleigh, Hannah, Zackary, Garrett, Tristan, Zoe, Wyatt, Levi, Jack, Lauren and Taylor. May he find peace in heaven with our LORD and finally be free of pain. The family would like to thank the hospice care team at CRVNA and the Hospice Unit staff at the Merrimack County Nursing Home, as well as the many caregivers from Seniors Helping Seniors and Visiting Angels for the wonderful care they provided Sonny during his illness. Calling hours are Wednesday, March 16th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Petit Funeral Home, 167 Main St, Pembroke. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on March 17th at 11:30am.
