Ernest A. Higgins, 66, of Boscawen, passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at Concord Hospital following a long battle with cancer. Born on April 7, 1955 in Exeter, NH, he was the son of the late Franklin and Shirley (Fife) Higgins. Ernie worked for many years at Index Packaging building shipping pallets until he was unable to work due to health concerns. He enjoyed hunting both deer and bear, watching the Boston Red Sox, playing horseshoes and his weekly poker games. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Raymond "Scott" Higgins. He is survived by his beloved companion of 19 years, Ruby Matott of Boscawen, stepson, Jay Spooner, siblings, Wes Higgins of Pittsfield, Donald Higgins of Boscawen, Dennis Higgins of Pittsfield and Marjorie White of Laconia as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. There are no services scheduled at this time. The Still Oaks Funeral & Memorial Home in Epsom is assisting the family with arrangements.
