Gretchen M. Jacques Obituary (1942

Gretchen M. Jacques, 69, died Saturday, July 1, 2011, at the Epsom Manor Health Care Center. Born in Brooklyn, NY on June 5, 1942, Gretchen was the daughter of Walter and Hyla (Wirts) Schoenfeld. After moving to New Hampshire, she had lived in Berlin and Concord and had spent over 35 years in Contoocook prior to moving to Epsom. Mrs. Jacques was a Certified Nurses Assistant (CNA) and had worked in Concord for the NH Hospital, the Odd Fellows Home, and Havenwood. She enjoyed knitting and, an animal advocate, Mrs. Jacques loved and cared for many animals and was a member of the Animal Rights League. Members of her family include 2 daughters, Aileen Jacques of Concord and Rachel Jacques of Loudon; 3 brothers, Walter Schoenfeld of Hartford, CT, David Schoenfeld of Las Vegas, NV, and Harry Schoenfeld of Blaine, WA; 4 sisters, Louise Tosi of Morris Plains, NJ, Hyla McGovern of Concord, Janet Giddis of Lakeworth, FL, and Carol Schoenfeld of Gilmanton; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Jacques in 2005; and 5 siblings, Richard, Paul, Alan, and Martin Schoenfeld, and Aileen Grigoletto. Service: All are invited to a memorial service to be held at the Concordia Lutheran Church on North Main Street in Concord on Saturday, July 9 at 10 AM.
