Janet Frances (Keating) Towle, 72, died Thursday, June 4, 2009 at the Concord Hospital.

Born in Dover on July 21, 1936, Mrs. Towle was the daughter of Peter and Elizabeth (Gilmore) Keating. She moved to Pittsfield as a teen and graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1954. She was employed as a Registered Radiologic Technologist for LRGH and Pittsfield Medical Center, and then later became the office manager at PMC for a total of 18 years. The final years of her career were spent as a Radiologic Technologist and Mammographer at Concord Hospital until her retirement in 1998. After this she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was a proud member of the Upper City Ladies Group.

She belonged to the Park Street Baptist Church and the James Farrington Pleiades Chapter of the Eastern Star. Janet was a member of the NH Society for Radiologic Technologists and held office as the treasurer for numerous years along with serving as a Board member of the New England Conference for Radiologic Technologists.

She was a generous and natural born caretaker who cherished her family and friends, fully enjoyed her grandchildren with all her creative ideas and had a hard time resisting a good yard sale.

Predeceased in 2004 by her husband of 47 years, John Jack Towle, she is survived by 2 children, Tim Towle and his wife Lori of Loudon and Jennifer Barnard and her husband Keith of Webster; 5 grandchildren, Jody Chappelle, Amy Bartlett, Robert Towle, Sadie and Jack Barnard; 1 great granddaughter, Jaslyn Cookson; 2 brothers, Peter Keating of Jaffrey and Brian Keating of Barnstead; many brothers- and sisters-in-law, along with numerous nieces and nephews; and not to be forgotten, her loving black lab and faithful companion, Bogart..

Visitation: There will be a sharing of memories celebration where all family and friends are welcome Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the Still Oaks Funeral & Memorial Home, 12 17 Suncook Valley Hwy., Epsom.

Service: Services will be at the Park Street Baptist Church in Pittsfield on Wednesday at 1 PM with graveside services to follow at Floral Park Cemetery, also in Pittsfield.
