Richard R. Mazola, 70, of Pittsfield, NH died peacefully Saturday, October 30, 2010 after a short illness. He passed away with his family at his side.

Born on June 9, 1940 in Swampscott, MA, Richard was the son of Ralph and Adeline (Scotina) Mazola. He grew up in Lynn, MA, and had also lived in Chester, NH before making Pittsfield his home.

Before his retirement, he had spent 35 years employed as a meat cutter for Stop & Shop in Massachusetts. Dick was an excellent drummer with various bands in the Massachusetts area. He enjoyed food, animals, movies, gardening and his many friends.

Members of his family include his loving wife of 48 years, Patricia (Fox) Mazola; 3 children, Michael Mazola of Danvers, MA, Robin Landry of Barnstead, NH and Sandra Lambert of Allenstown, NH; a brother, Ernest Mazola, and a sister, Helen Dean, both of Lynn, MA; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and also many nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Friends and family are gathering at the Still Oaks Funeral & Memorial Home, 1217 Suncook Valley Hwy. in Epsom on Thursday, November 4th from 3-6 PM.
