CONCORD - Stewart “Gene” Morris, 69, of Concord, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024 after long-term health complications at his home. He was born on October 17, 1955 and was a son of Pearl (Corey) Nadeau and the late James Leath Morris, Jr.

Gene was born in Birmingham, Alabama. In his younger years he lived in California and later moved to New Hampshire, where he attended Merrimack Valley High School. In 1987, he was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army Reserves after serving 5 years, specializing in operating heavy equipment. Gene enjoyed many hobbies. He was an avid hunter, a diehard fisherman and an amazing guitar player. He enjoyed building computers, gardening and cooking. In his later years, he owned SEM Transport and later became a cab driver.

Gene brought 3 sons into this world: Adam Morris of Suncook; Christopher Eugene Morris and Steven James Morris, both of Arizona.

In addition to his mother in Concord, he is survived by his sister, Heather Reid of Berlin; and his two nieces: Brittney Lynn Briggs and Brandy Marie Hamblett. He was predeceased by his older brother: Elden Howard Morris.

Burial will be held at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen at a later date. Roan Family Funeral Home in Pembroke is assisting the family with arrangements.
